#2663, "New Boards"

Some of you may remember that there used to be a tackle board on the site. Well, after some thought, I've decided to bring it back and also add a boat rigging board. There's been a lot of interest in these topics over time, and although the traffic to those boards may not be much, I'm hoping that it will help people to find information they are looking for in those categories since they won't be mixed in with the other posts. I'm also hoping to spark some good conversation like the recent discussions of reel tweaking and boat rigging on the Freshwater Board.

I'm also adding a new product introduction and product availability board. This gives lure makers a chance to show their new baits, and tackle stores to announce product availability without creating as much tension over possible spamming. This way, the average reader can choose to read about new product and bait availability if they want to, and if they don't want to they can stick to the regular boards. I hope that the bait manufacturers, garage guys etc will use these boards with tact and respect. This is great free advertising for you guys. Please post a pic, talk about the bait features, what it does etc, but don't slam and bash. If your bait is a hot bait, it will speak for itself in the pictures. I'm excited about this board, and I hope that some of the bait makers who have been lurking will take the opportunity to show their stuff. It's a lot cheaper than buying ad space in a magazine! Conversely, if you are looking for a specific bait, by all means post your question here and hopefully the retailers and mfgrs out there an can offer some places where the bait could be bought.
