I've fished my entirely life but just recently discovered it as a hobby. I am trying to learn the art and techniques of fishing but i could always use some pointers on how to catch more and bigger fish. I have a small tackle box and a couple of different lures but very, very, very, sadly I have only caught one fish MY ENTIRE LIFE that was when i was 10 now i am 13 and could use all the help i can get. A little bit more... i live in the valley region of southern Cali now and i fish at Castaic lake. To be more specific i fish of the fishing pier on the bottom lake. My point is I'm looking to buy another reel (maybe rod). i already have 2 spincast reels an i want to look into a spinning reel which would be easier for me than a baitcast reel which i would like to have and to know more about. So if u could help me pick a new reel (maybe rod too) and give me some pointers on lure or bait. It would be great.....by the way im fishing for mostly trout and some bass.
