#1865, "RE: Tube seating problem fixed." In response to In response to 4
Thanks for the advice. I tried something that seems to work well. I had a kids swimming noodle. I cut a 19" length and then cut it like a submarine sandwich bun, lengthwise. Then I cut a 16" length of 1" wood dowel and inserted it into the middle of the "sandwich" having cut out a groove. Then I duct taped it together. Then I cut 2 lengths of 1" nylon strapping, forming a loop a one end. I then sewed the loop and sewed each strap to the nylon strap that supportes the middle of the seat. The "noodle" support is now at the front of the seat just under my knees. The crotch strap as well as the sewed in support straps keeps the "noodle in place and gives me a "bucket" area for my bum. I have also made an extra cushion using 3 noodle pieces (without the dowel)and sewed them side by side and am going to place them just behind the support noodle. This should help me sit higher. I appreciate the imput from you.
