#696, "Any suggestions?"

Hey guys. I just bought a boat that I thought would be totally awesome and it really is but there is one major issue with it. It's a 12' aluminum with full decks built in with storage and everything so its pretty much a mini bass boat. The thing is, the frame for the decks is made out of welded steel, really heavy stuff, making the boat top heavy. Now, I'm a big kid, over 200 pounds for sure, and the boat is just really unstable with me walking around in it. I've only taken it out twice, just to get used to everything and play with it and I haven't put any tackle in it or anything else to put weight in the bottom of the boat, but I really don't think that stuff is gonna help. I really just don't think the boat was made for that kind of weight, after all, it's a 12' aluminum v-hull, so it's not completely stable to begin with. Do you guys have any ideas? Should I cut the back part of the frame for the decks out? Would doing this make the front end of the boat too heavy? Anything? If you guys, don't have any suggestions, then I guess I'm just gonna have to deal. Thanks for any help.

Jake
