If you're stuck on the Loomis, then you should get the 965. The 964 is a good rod, but a little light if you're throwing alot of heavy rubber baits like ospreys and huddlestons. I threw the rof5s on my 964 until I got another Okuma rod. It worked, but it's not totally ideal. It is a great rod for throwing wood baits in the 7-9" sizes.
That BB965 only comes in a GL3 I think. That'll set you back $275.00. For my money, i'd get the 964 and an Okuma XH. You could throw almost any swimbait made with those two rods and still come in under the GL3 price tag. Of course you'll have to buy two reels now though :)
