#1567, "RE: Mounting a bow -mount trolling motor" In response to In response to 0 Fri Jul-08-05 06:25 AM by Ken A
You just need to find a way to mount it in a fairly level way. My boat has an aluminum cap at the point of the bow, it has a curve to it so I got some rubber spacers from the hardware store to provide the proper mounting height to allow it to sit level. I had to add spacers for 3 of the 4 mounting holes. You may need to make a mounting plate to bolt to your boat and then mount your motor to it. Let me know if you need details in how I did mine and I can take some pictures to show it to you. Ken
Edit: this is for a foot operated trolling motor. If it's a hand operated motor you shouldn't need any special mount.
