#39677, "SCBBBC Sonoma night tournament" Mon Jul-07-08 01:33 PM by Samurai TI
I know most of you guys will be prefishing the river but thought I would let you know this weather is the perfect setup for some great night fishing at Lake Sonoma! It will be this coming Saturday evening/night and should kick out some big girls! I've literally had nights where I was getting a bite every three casts with fish no smaller than 2 1/2lbs! Usually at least one fish exceeds 7 lbs for big fish (lost that one that almost snapped my GLX 844 last year at the end of the tournament!) and it still holds the SCBBBC record for a 7 fish limit for over 28lbs (which included two 1 lb fish - it is now a team 5 fish limit). Just a few short years ago on a TOUGH night (http://www.scbbbc.com/archives/2002results/2002lakesonomateam.html)I managed 20+ with only 4 fish... :)
It's a blind draw in the parking lot and should be a strong topwater bite along with jigs and big worms! A ton of fun and a short 6 hours which will fly by.
