Doug,
The reason for the exclusives is really thee-fold. One, it brings people to THAT particular store (thus $$$), two, it creates a strong relationship with that store with their vendor (like this with Lucky Craft and the Yellowhead Snag Proof frog last year, which is now available everywhere) and three, for the vendor, is a great way to test a new color and see if it would be viable to mass produce and distribute it to everyone.
At most larger stores that can order a fair amount of lures (or rod, reels etc - similar to BPS or Cabela's), they will do this to draw attention to their stores and hopefully keep those new customers coming back.
Hope I answered your question!
Todd

The hand painted hitch baits are by a guy named Jeremy Anderson I believe. He does paint some awesome baits. I have a small box of cranks he painted for me a couple years ago. I met and fished with him at a Delta Nutcase Classic. What a wild man he is. Very cool and fun to fish with.

What color(s) is this bait on the top half? It looks kinda gold with a hint of green maybe?
All the plastic swimbaits I've seen in a Hitch, CL Special or CL Hitch pattern have dark or green backs with blue in the middle. They look nothing like this bait.
Is the pointer color the closest resemblance you've seen?

Thanks John!
Do you think anyone would have any interest in small plastics in this color? I do handpours and was wanting to do a color for Clear Lake. This picture is one of the styles of baits I pour. They are good for flipping or dropshot. I would just like to know if there is any interest before I mix up the colors.

Hey John, hopefully I'll be pouring some 5" reapers in about a week. I'll let you know when I'm done with the mold.

Here's a pic I found online. Some people call them leeches. The one I'm going to pour is a little different then this but the same concept. It's got a nice thick head on it.
