If you had the choice between fishing Castaic shore or Silverwood shore strictly for stripers, which one would you choose? I know the dam at Silverwood is the only area available there.

I'd say Castaic, like you said, very limited shoreline at Silverwood and it's shakey weither they have or will get their trout plant, roads were washed out yesterday?

Odds are better with Castaic, just my 2cents.

Living up to my name I have had great success at Castaicaround the marina area and the point to the right of the launch. Large swimbaits and chuckin the wood has accounted for some truly nice fish over the years for me. Hope this helps.
