#32044, "Naci Report 1/28"

Fished U.S. Anglers Choice Teams at Naci Today. Here is a quick report. I was hoping the weather man was going to be right and it would be cloudy and have a chance of rain today, but no, we had a few clouds in the morning then clearing the rest of the day (A very sunny beautiful day on the lake)...My partner and I ran to the river (Narrows) section of the lake to start things off. Unfortunitly, my game was way off and my partner caught 2 for every one of mine x( , we ended up with a decent Limit in the first hour. The next 3 hours was spent culling here and there, till we had 11.5 or so. At about noon we made our way back out to the main lake and hit a number of "hot spots" we had from previous recent trips. We caught a bunch more fish, but just couldn't cull out for more wieght. We ended up with 11.7lbs. Winning Wieght, Get this, 17 and change!!!:o All spots I believe and some nice ones at that! I think second was 15 and change. First placed described getting his fish swimming Jigs in the backs of coves. Full results should be posted on www.usanglerschoice.net in the coming days.

Can't wait for the Central Region of Bass-n-Tubes opener at Naci Feb. 25-26.

Quite a few 2 1/2 to nearly 5's in there. Nice. Those 2+ have usually been the 'kickers' in the past.

2.5lb'rs seem to be the norm now, we caught a bunch of them. Now a "kicker" better be 3.5 or more.....I was shocked at the size of the spots that first place and second had.

A side note: 2nd place winner Jared Litner (who has been having a fantastic last couple of years fishing Pro) is off to fish in the BASS Elite series. Good luck to him!
