I'm likely to end up at Middle River either Sat or Sun this weekend. I'm trying to get the fellow that took me out on his salmon boat to come along as he wanted to try a kick boat. Anyone else heading out that way this weekend?

If anyone of you see us out there please note that my friend Dan is a fire chief so I will be keeping a low profile on consumables like booze, etc.

That hyacinth was awesome! It pretty much stayed in the channel while the tide was heading out. The edges were clear and fishable. The only problem was when you wanted to cross the channel you had to bust your way through the clumps. Very do-able though.
I would like to see the top water bite too :+

I just firmed things up with my friend - we'll be going Saturday. I might be able to get there before 5:30 as this guys is used to getting up at 3am.

Cool, I'll probably see you there then. I was thinking of hitting the Mildred area again to pre-fish but I don't think it's required. After my last trip there I know all that I need to know ;) ;)

I plan on leaving Santa Cruz about 3:45 am so we should be there around 5:15 or so. Looking forward to some fishies!
