You may want to do the math again with the current standings. It is my understanding that you have 2 throwouts. 1 for first half and 1 for 2nd half. Well someone's calculator is not adding up correctly. I can certainly get you a Windows XL spreadsheet that will do all the math for you if that helps. Let me know, but I think these #'s should be corrected ASAP, so it is a fair and right competition. I don't want to cite whose is wrong. I think you all can go on there and do the math and see for yourself, but it should be changed and quickly. If I am wrong, please let me know and explain the process so in the future I don't have to step onto this soap box.

Dani, there's no 2nd half throw-out. For 2nd half points, all that counts are the last 5 tournaments with no throw-outs or meeting points. The 2nd half person with the most points, who otherwise wouldn't qualify for the TOC, gets to go to "The Big Show."
The throw-outs are only counted for standings for the entire season.
The points rules are listed under "TOC Qualification Rules" on the website.

I am still trying to wrap my brain around this. So the 2nd half points for meetings don't count in the net points?
I assumed you add up all the points for meetings and tourney's. You throw out the lowest score in the first half and 2nd half and that is how you come up with net points. Now, you are telling me that lowest score for 2nd half does not get thrown out, but the meeting points for the 2nd half don't count? Is that right?

Well, sort of. Your two lowest scores for the entire season get thrown out when determining net points for the whole shibang. Second-half points are just the sum of the tournaments from July - November - no throw-outs are included in the calculation. Also, meeting points aren't counted when determining 2nd half points.
I noticed when I looked at the rules for TOC qualification the it wasn't spelled out that meeting points don't count when determining the 2nd half TOC qualifier. The club should probably amend the rules to reflect that change, which was voted on & approved by the club a couple of years ago. I remember, because I was doing the points on the web at the time, & it was a bookkeeping hassle to include them for reasons that would probably bore the heck out of anyone reading this. Keeping track of the points & posting them is time-consuming & confusing enough, as I'm sure Dan Chester & Mike Ayers could tell you.

One more point, Dani. I think the confusion is that someone may have mistakenly told you that there's a 2nd half throw-out. That's not right. There are 2 throw-outs when calculating total points for the entire season. They could be your 1st 2 touraments in February & March, or your last two in October or November, or, whatever.

Dani, first off welcome to the forum. I hope Andy answered your questions for you! Andy thanks, as for your remark about the spreadsheet there is no formula that we have to simply punch in results and have it magically move people up and down in the cells and put them in the right order and calculate throw-outs and meeting points! If you can write a spreadsheet formula or a program that can do this for us, please! "hook us up" :P

Thanks for the welcome Mike and congratulations on the TOC. Way to go.
As far as the points go, they just seem off to me. Not everyone mind you, just some and only by 2-3 points. I will have to do the math again now that I know the system.
I would just hate to see someone miss out on the TOC due to a miscalculation. Know what I mean?
Keep up the great work guys and here is to a super succesfull end of the season.

Good point, Dani. Folks should check the standings & make sure their points have been added up correctly. It's easy to make a math error when putting them together. If you do spot something, just let a club officer know & they'll take care of it.

One more quick question. Can you use a no show for one of your throw outs?? Say someone missed to tourneys and got 0 points, can they use those as throw outs?
