#17100, "Where 4 Sturgeon from my Kick?"
Fri Oct-31-03 08:50 AM by Wade

With this 1st rain of the season, I'm thinking that Sturgeon might be the best game in town, but I want to use my Kickboat this weekend. So, where would you go for Sturgeon from a Kick? If you think something else might be really good on Sunday, what, where, and why. Does anyone want to join me in a Gonzo fishing trip? Lastly I'm coming from the Morgan Hill (near San Jose) area, so give directions from this area.
Tight lines,
Wade

If you're chasing sturgeon in the bay, just follow one of the bridges til you find the deep water channel then anchor up & go for it. Plan your trip around the tides.

Figure out where we might have a good shot at them without risking life & limb and let's go. What's good bait besides Ghost/Grass/Mud shrimp? My dad used to use Herring and Herring Roe mostly, but I couldn't find any that wasn't skanky. A friend told me to use Salmon Roe and I have some but I'd rather save it for Steelies.
Tight lines,
Wade
