Petey Pete

So ended up going. Everything ended up going down hill from the gates. Forgot to charge battery for the troller and didnt bring the oars but lucky JC loaned me his oars just to get on the water. Started kicking with the current and my fin snapped. ok whatever..kept fishing and got a tugg and set hook only to hook fish but drop my blackberry in the water at the same time lol very expensive 3 pounder you can say! At this point I was just waiting for a great white to blow up on me and eat me alive to complete my day with all the good luck I had. Only thing good was I DID catch em! got one one on the crank- it wasnt as productive like last friday tho. The rest came on the black jig with a big blue trailer. With the water being so stained it was perfect. Biggest was only 4 but thats better then nothing cause I would of been really mad if I would of got skunked! So lets see here....60 bucks gas, 5 bucks launch...4 bucks toll.. 200 dollar phone..30 dollar fins = I'll just go hide under a rock and fish there next weekend! Maybe CZ and Mr. Wong have a better report for you guys!

I'm going to fish Middle River on Sunday morning for a few hours and head back before the traffic gets too heavy.

IFISH say's,

We saw Petey Pete on Fri morning and as he stated, his trolling motor battery wasn't charged, and he had to borrow JC's oars ( which didn't even fit properly, but he made due ) and he was a fishin'. When we caught back up to Petey Pete, he had told us about his fin breaking, and then he told us his " Blackberry Cell Phone " had taken a " splash " into the river. Needless to say, we felt terrible for Petey Pete and hoped he would have a better day despite his dismal start.


As for CZ and I, we did ok. We were basically catching cookie cutter 2lbers, a mix of lil Delta rats with a 3lber for each of us. We were getting em' on a mix of Jigs, Beavers, Senkos, Buzzbaits, and Frogs. We got some bites on the Crankbait, but most fish came on the other baits. CZ had like 6-8 fish or so, while I had like 5-6 or something like that. Not the best day of fishin', but we caught fish and saw lots of " Chi-Chi's " on the water thanks to all the " Water Rats ". :+ :9

IFISH

A friend and I fly-fished MR until 12:00 noon for a total of 4 fish. I caught 1 on a popper at dawn and 2 on sinking flies. My friend caught 1 on a sinking fly.

The water is still too murky to have a great day on flies, but it should pick up later in the summer as the water clears.
