It was a fun day on the river. I got a few fish to eat a frog and spook in the morning, but never got a real good one to eat it. I tossed a rattletrap and a couple craw colored cranks and got a couple fish to eat a speed trap. I also caught a few fish on a dropshot, flipping a beaver, and pitching a jig and pig. It ended up being a fun day we both caught around 15 fish each, and only a couple of those were not keepers. Steve had a couple more 3lbers than I did, he was most successful pitching soft plastics around and finished the day catching a few at the end on a little cuttail worm. I sure felt rusty out there, I had gotten used to fishing 3-4days a week in the summer and things were finally starting to happen on instinct, but yesterday I missed a few fish just cause I was having to think about what I was doing. And the school year has just begun x(

The Hyacinth "hyacen" ;) is much more scattered out along the bank between the barrier and the tracy bridge making it much more fishable, but after the bridge the whole side on the opposite side of "bank angler haven" was completly full of hyacinth and was impossible to even get near the bank

We'll get you out there next time, John. It is time for stripers, too.
