Jared posted a picture of this fish the other day, the pic doesnt do it justice. If you have the chance I would suggest going over to take a look at it, its unbelievable. It has a very odd shape but most of all I noticed the very long, pointed pectoral fins. Ive never seen fins like that on a bluegill and it makes me wonder if that fish has some level of hybrid in it. Ive personally held two NJ state record bluegills each just over 3 lbs, this one goes close to 4 and is amazing.

I was able to stick this one on a 4 inch senko in 2001. Redear Sunfish 2.63 lbs, 14.5 inches long. It was 2 tenths off the state record. To give you some size context, there is a sunflower seed hull on the side of the fish in the bottom picture
