Went over to Greg Vella's website and came across this picture... Rob, Mike, anyone know if it will be available to the US fisherman. After seeing a generic trout this color online i was wondering if Mike would paint one that color, black w/ red eye.

That's a pretty cool looking bait!What site are you refering to?

Also,if you really wanted to,you could sand down an old slammer or any other bait to practice.And paint that sucker any color you want to.All black would'nt be too hard,as far as the red eyes,i don't know?
Just epoxy the bait and you have a custom paint job!

It's a little more work than i made it sound and it won't be the same as it was straight outta the wrapper from Mike but you could do it.

If you want custom colors, just talk to Mike directly. I can't promise anything, but Mike does do custom baits from time to time. 805-462-0592.

The black with red eye is Capt. G's custom color. That may be exclusive to Japan for him. But if you call Mike he may be able to do some variations on that for you.
