Yo Don - you're lookin at it. 1 fish my friend. So goes the ups and downs of big bass fishin... All of the good bites (like you have been on) have been at places I just haven't fished before, or at times when I haven't been on the water. I spent a lot of time fishing Pedro which was terrible and I burned up a lot of time prefishing for tournaments that got cancelled for weather or that I did lousy at.
I've been fortunate to fish a lot this year and I've learned a lot but I haven't been at the right places at the right time very often. Last year I had 21 over 10, this year I'll be happy to get half a dozen. Hopefully at least one is a real good one :) That's fishin.

I can see where tourney fishing would get in the way of trophy hunting fun. Pedro has been good to us but I try to go up mid-week when the crouds are not there. You never know Rob you just might get a few over 10 in one trip. You are way over due. I just hope it comes in a tourney for ya, it makes it a little beter. Yes, we have been very lucky to find some of these fish. Right place right time is so...true. Best of luck to ya.

That thing is a monster, would of like to of seen it before it spawned. I got 4 yesterday and they were all spawned out, real thin and big heads. I miss the pre-spawn already :(

Here's the pic, sorry if that was confusing. The lates pic in the gallery is highlighted on the main page and changes often :) This fish went 10.7. I didn't measure but it was a long well framed fish that might have done 12+ with a fat belly.
The fish believe it or not was probably prespawn. I almost feel like some fish this year may have dropped their eggs or absorbed some of their eggs with so much bad weather and low temps. I don't know the biological details of it but I have had my eyes glued on a couple lakes and am positive, absolutely certain, that the fish haven't spawned in any real numbers and yet I'm seeing skinny post spawn looking fish. I don't know how that happens but it seems to be happening to some extent.
