I'm headed down to San Diego later this week to fish Mission Bay. I am familiar with bay fishing as I usually fish Newport Harbor. Does anyone have any pointers they want to share with me? Spots to try, techniques? I hear that they have stripers in there and I really would love to hook one. Also, is Dana Landing the only place to rent a skiff and if so where do I go to get live bait? I would really appreciate any kind of help.

Thanks

i dont know about dana landing renting boats out, but seaforth does. i think its $65 for 8 hrs. and though ive heard of stripers being caught here, its VERY SELDOM. youd best be targeting the bass and halibut. and inside the quivira basin and the channel that leads into it you can get cudas too. live bait is your best bet. weight it down for the bass and halies. fly line it for the cudas.
