Hit up Cachuma this past weekend, prefished saturday and fished an Anglers Choice Tourney on sunday. The fishing was only so-so. We got 16.97 lbs. good enough for 5th place. There weren't too many really locked down on their beds, but the guys fishing the live stuff were slaying them! I saw a saltwater style center console/small tuna tower boat w/ASSALT, BIG HAMMER, PRO CURE, ETC. decal's on the side and was wondering if it was anybody that posted on this board? (I see a few that post it under their names) That dude and his buddies ROCKED!!! He had a HUGE stringer full of Largemouth Bass at the cleaning station (i wanted to take some for the tourney the next day)LOL I meant to ask him what the secret bait was but the launch ramp was pretty packed at the time. So if you're on this board, please share your secrets! Oh, by the way...the Trout fishing was pretty amazing for most people i saw, boy they plant some nice size fish in Cachuma!

I am the proud owner of that beautiful floating billboard you saw on saturday,I don't know if your trying to get a rise out of me or what?, but you didn't see us cleaning any bass? In fact we were up there fishing in a club redear tourney, and let all the bass we caught while fishing night crawlers go, if you seen me cleaning something it was the couple redears we caught. My rig does stand out like a turd in a punch bowl on the lake though, especially when its flying across the lake at 45mph! :-)...Larry

Larry, i'm not trying to get a rise from you just some dope, i know quite a few tourney anglers that will take a few Bass now and again including myself on occasion (esp. if it floats). I did see someone cleaning Bass and was just curious on what they bit because we couldn't seem to catch the nicer grade on Saturday. And yes, your beautiful logo's do stand out big time. Oh, and i'm probably the one who passed you on the lake doing 65! LOL

BALDERDASH!
I will vouch not only for the "Hunter's" Character, but he is the ONLY angler you will ever see with the "ER" paddles-out reviving a Largemouth up to and including mouth to mouth.
Just Kidding Calico!
No way in Heck he fillets em'!
BTW: If you see one floating upside down, and it is still alive...his/her air bladder is full. Needle it! Don't EAT it!

So Rod, i could have actually released all of my floaters instead of frying them up? j/k...Sometimes you'll hook them so bad i.e. gills, that while pulling on them it'll rip a gill out and i'll have to keep it. I did it to a 5lber. on my first cast sunday morning, it had two trebles in it's gills and literally ripped one out! Needless to say, it went in the frying pan last night. Whoever it was that had an awesome Bass catch, give up the dope on the bite we got another tourney this weekend.

Jeff L, it is my turn to return a favor now, since you and John B. gave me some info awhile back on Casitas for my club tourney. I will shot you an e-mail.
