Is the effect of a full moon (coming this week) on largemouth or smallmouth any different when there is full moon that has been obscured all night by fog versus a clear night? Also, would the lunar eclipse this week make any difference in bass fishing; I believe that it lasts less than an hour. These may seem to be very elementary questions, but I am new to freshwater bass fishing. Thanks.

Answer to question # 2. : NO

Regarless of "The Pull, or Push" of the moon, anytime there are conditions that block out the effect of light reaching the water and into the depths, some fish will react differently. The spawn is a combination of water temps being right, enough light to see, and the stage of the mating urge in progress. More females come up onto the nesting sight at night than any other time. Whether or not they stay there depends on stable (read: steady/consistant) weather conditions, including water temps and sufficient light penetration (not necessarily a full moon) . Once they are in the act of spawning itself, rather than monkeing around just prior to getting serious about dropping their eggs, There isn't too terible much going to make them stop what they are doing.
