I hit up Castaic with my dad today. We fished from about two until dark. Decided to go to the west ramp today and do some shore fishing. The lake was extremely low and I talked to some DFG biologist and she said that they are starting to fill it up. Well I started of slow and pretty much ended slow, except for my dad. He got a ten pound striper and when we gutted it and found a fresh trout digesting in it's stomach. I thought that was pretty cool. I also talked to some other guys and they said the largemouths are really starting to pick up. Looks like I'm going to have to bust out my bass gear soon.
Good Bye

That is pretty cool to see the trout in their stomachs.I have seen them in all different stages of digestion, some just bones and tail all the way to just about still edible,YUM..LOL.

Also one time at the Colorado River i pulled a full fresh trout out of ones throat and threw it back out into the river for another striper to eat...recycled trout. It was dead but those guys are'nt too picky.

Thanks for the report and good luck with the Largies up there, the Lagoon should also pretty good soon,
