#7153, "Late Prado Report"

Managed to get a little time (3 hours or so) at Prado over the four-day weekend. Same old story for me lately
- I was blanked, fishing for bass. I did see lots of trout being caught - some pretty nice sized ones at that...
but the bass fishing was tough for me. First time at Prado and nothing to show for it. Fished the infamous
"fallen tree" and the shore line opposite the trout fisherman. Did not see any bass in the water.

Threw mostly jigs, jerk baits and cranks. Visibility was maybe 1-2 feet at the most and it rained a little
too. Are there any shad in this little lake?

I think I'd try drop-shotting off the dam next time around...

Not too many shad, but tons of 3" bluegill. There arent too many larger bass right now, mostly fish under 10", try fishing small minnoiws weightless. However, if u go again stick to jigs or spinnerbaits.

If you can get a chance fish spinnerbaits from a boat by the reeds. Thats where the big ones hang out
