Castaic got it today...1800 pounds on the main ramp. Not alot going on for those of us throwing the wood. But the guys that fish the T-bags got a few. They got alot of balls to sit out in the open and do that since Marty (DFG) is hanging back around the lake training some new guys. But to each his own.

Silverwood got two plants last week. But as usual they kept it quiet. I've noticed that the people up there don't like to share info. You've almost got to go up there to see for yourself if the trout are in the water. Anyways the Silverwood store told me that they've been
checking stripers to 30 pounds for a week now. Pisses me off cause this is the first plant I've missed up there in three years.

Shane,

Silverwood is a little shady. Only trout stock I knew about was on October 11th. I dont think they got any this past week. I know they are hurting for customer, since many people think they are closed with the rest of the forest.

Tight Lines,

Jason,

I never take what the marina says very serious but I talked to the main gate and the store that you pass on the way up and they all told me that the lake got a plant last week. The marina store told me tody that they've been checking in stripers over 20 like today again and that the bite is just sick. I want to go up there in the morning with my boat but I've got my two small sons to watch. I have a hard time with them trying to troll and keep an eye on them.

I hit Castaic up today at closing for zip. This guy Mike I've been fishing with up there stuck a 14 pounder off the first point on the east shore line on throwing a striper special pencil popper. Theres
this guy that makes a plug that looks like a goose egg that said he lost a good fish due to his welded split ring opening up on him. Other than that it looked slow. A few fish off the dam during mid day.

Hey Shane what the heck is t-baggin,is it the same thing that Cabby siad he was going to do to Stuttering jhon if he lost the fight? Silverwood pulls this crap every year, and i missed out on the best socal striper bite in along time last year because of those nig nogs,20 fish over 20 pounds in a week or someing like that, with a couple of fortys to boot.I did get broke off on a phatty a week after they said they dumped in cleghorn in my tube in about 5-10 feet of water on an osprey, wraped me in some stump or sumthing popped that 20pound like it was 2.So i have some payback for that place, and i know they got some absolute gorillaz in there!!!!!!!!!!
Going to cataic tonight, will be ther till tomarro or tomarro night depends on the fish.Ordered a skinny fom bob but it never showed, said it would be here before the weekend. But thats how it gos, guesss ill just have to getem on the slammer love train.Fishin late, fishin hard.Later bros, tight lines to all.

got 2 fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what i figured, got a 18.5 on the twelve incher from the top lake.Could have been over twenty ,but it dident have ant t baggers in its belly. Some dude was talking about using trout to me, im so surprised how many people flaunt that they are baggin.I was like whatever bro ,just dont get caught!
Also got a5 out of the bottom on the niner ,then i bounced it off the dock and it busted into pieces.I was pissed,i dident have my skinnys for backup. The lip broke off,but at least it dident happen when i was hooked up on a phatty,or i would be talkin some major smack.Dont know if i will re up on the slammers, ill see how my ac skinnys look when they get here. Not mutch wood holding the front pin together, after one rock i wouldent trust it with a big old dawg from willow. The twelve has more wood up at the top to work with, but that little nine was becomeing my candy plug !!Also hit silver on sun. it was dead, but phishnuts got a nice largie on a deep jerky bait.Mucho windy!!!!!!

got 2 fish............

Watch out for those goose egge lookin plugs going around at castaic, there called s-plugs and the dude who makes them lost a phatty because the welded o ring that holds the hook on broke.I have one of these things and it has a tight fast wiggle like a oakie plug on speed,it will catch fish but i will be cutting the ring off and putting on big split rings. Not trying to bash Scots plugs but just a warning to all you big fish hunters like me who cant aford to lose big fish do to terminal tackle failure.Good vibes and tight lines!!!!!!!!!!!!

got 2 fish.............
