I've fished little streams for trout quite a bit and I love Panther Martins. My honey bait has been a 1/16th ouncer with a black and yellow body and a gold blade. I've caught stocked and wild rainbows, brookies, and browns with this little slayer. Use 2-4 lb. line on an ultra light 5-7 foot spinner and your ready. Also, try some minijigs. Any thing with yellow in it works really well. Just my 2 cents. Good luck and tight lines!

One more thing I forgot to mention; gold kastmasters.

Calicokid is right on with everything. You'll get hit on Panther Martins right and left, if you can find the 1/32 that may work better for ya. I just got back from the sierras and had a blast in the creeks with my small panther martins and kastmasters. Be sure to pinch the barbs so you can release them without too much damage, those natives are awesome.

The others gave good info. Furthermore, try the all silver Panther Martins at mid-day with few shadows, and the Black w/ Flo. Green blades in shadows or on gloomy days. The gold or silver Kastmasters are great in lakes. When fishing streams wear drab clothing, stay low and keep moving upstream.
Tight lines,
Wade
