Thanks, Bert7. I've only caught the stripers on cut bait and small ones on live shad. Where do you recommend fishing for the stripers after the trout plant, around the dam near boat launch? I have a Pencil Popper, a trout Super Spook, and one of those big AC plugs, but I haven't really fished any of them. What do you recommend using and where? I really want to land a big striper on an artificial bait!

Thank you very much for the update I was just gonna give em a ring.Do you know where they dumped, the main or the west ramp?As far as where to fish,if they dumped at the main ramp then around there, and if they dumped on the west side then fish around there.I would stick to the ac plug or the pencil popper. If you chuck it enough, they will come.Good luck.
Billy.

just got home from castaic. Overall bite was slow. I ended up with one solid striper on one of my plugs and 3 hits. Saw a total of 7 stripers landed all day. Two guys i was fishing with had a 10 and 15. But the bite was very slow for such a large plant.

Hey Dustin, I think I talked to you on the dam. I was wearing a blue hat, black sunglasses and a black sweatshirt.

Hey Dustin, you gave me your number at Castaic last Saturday after you took that nice fish. When will you be there next so I can take a look at your plugs?

I hit up Castaic again today and caught an eight pounder. There are still tons of trout cruising around. You just have to find them and the stripers will be around.

Sorry I did not answer right away but I been in Castaic all week just got home to simi valley It sounds like you are on a boat, if you had live shad. Agood place to fish when they plant is at the point on the right side of the ramp (north side) and the cove where the old road ( (when you start down to the lake notice the gate straight ahead it is gated) at the bottom of this road in that cove is also a good place because the trout will hold in there.
There is trout still holding at the west ramp but no striper or bass yesterday and today.

Didn't they plant at the main ramp side? Or was it the west ramp?
