How has Oso been lately? are fish getting fatter? i went like 3 weeks ago for a small bass. not very good. theres never any reports on this lake so ive been wondering how has it been. this lake is weird, it has all the characteristics of a great bassin lake yet no bait fish for the bass, which might i add there are plenty of bass. the cover is great and its never crowded for me. im sure if some shad could get put in, or even small trout for the winter, things could start back up at this lake.

There is still a few trout left, small though, 6-7 inches, still nothing but a bunch of Ethiopian looking fish, spoon at the end of the rockpile where it meets the mud, or throw a deep diving crank baits, the fish are starving and skinny, but that is more of a reason they should be chewing, bouncing the pig n' jig in deep water will get them too... most of the good structure has become completely useless... water level is really low, stay on the move, those fish are on the prowl...

Is Oso shorthand for Oso Flaco or is it a seperate lake?

Different lake- it's in south Orange County, private lake for members, fish are starting to look less like surfboards, thankfully. Not the lake it used to be, but everything is cyclical, hopefully it will rebound. Tons of big cats if you get bored.

i know i would never get anything like this started but, it would be good while the water is low to get a bunch of people together, and pick up trash around the lake. the island is packed with beer bottles and plastics wrappers and stuff.. same with the shore.
i also have caught quite a few Cats out there and man, they are huge! i dont think i have caught one less than 7 or 8 pounds. i think they may thrive on dead bass.
