Went to Glen Camp on the west fork last weekend. Saw some Fishing Platforms. One was a"Santa Ana Sucker" Platform. What is that? And please don't say us, if we went up that far.
They have several "platforms" along the west fork names after native fish that live in the river. The Arroyo Chub and Santa Ana Sucker are common names for two of the fish that are native to the river. The sucker is exactly that...It is a fish that forages along the river bottom with a sucker mouth that sucks in food and debris.
The platforms appear to provide easy access and also appear to be wheelchair accesible. They are often great platforms to fish off of.
Nice to see some west fork fans here. I fly fish this place all the time - three time last week.
And no...you are not "suckers" for going up that far. Not only do they have trout stocking put-ins all the way up towards the dam, the quality of the wild trout improves as you go up towards the dam.
