#7999, "CA BASS Federation Tourney 1 Results-Lake San Vincente"

Region 6 (San Diego) of the CA BASS Federation had their 1st tourney of the year at San Vincente. The fish are actively looking around for partners and places to spawn, but they're not quite there yet. Its only a matter of a few weeks before the dance starts.

Here are the Top 3 winning patterns:

1st place - Allen Wetter. Dropshot and carolina rig secondary points using Roboworms and lizards. Culled over 12 fish.

2nd place - Mike Bartz. Dropshot steep rock walls and shallow coves with Roboworms oxblood and American Fishing Products mellon mash 4" worms . Depth 10 - 30 ft.

3rd place - Brian Day. Dropshot Roboworm oxblood red flake 6" worms and spinner bait steep rock walls and shallow coves. Depth 10 - 30 ft.

Hey guys,

You really need to check this circuit out. They take the best 4 out of 5 tournaments, so its not too late to get in and Qualify for the State fishoff at the Delta.

We only had 24 guys in this tourney, and first place walked with over 800$. Not bad for a 105$ entry fee!!!! They payed back to 4th place and I believe that 4th got almost 100$ back.

Its a great circuit with a great payback!! Not to mention the possibility of going all the way to the big show... THE BASSMASTER CLASSIC!!!!

Hope to see some of you at Otay on the 23rd

Cameron

Yeah!

Nice post and picture links.

Thank you for the information.

I caught my fish shaking 6" worms. Nothing special, just persistence.

Good job Matt and Cam! Those tourneys sound like a bunch of fun; 25 guys fishing for pretty good payouts. Not to mention a chance to get to the Classic. It sounds like the action a San V is picking up, kind of. I've got Otay on my mind(Wed.) for right now, but it's nice to hear that fish are being caught.

See ya out there!!!
