OK guys I had some fun this past week. Not alot of fishing time but I am completely satisfied.

Started off at New Melones in the afternoon for 3 nice crappie. These things were all around 2 pounds and fought like they were 10.

Next thing on the list: grandma's backyard creek. 3, count them 3, nice 13-14 inch BROWN TROUT! All in a backyard stream. So bomb! All caught on the PC jigs in dark smoke/yellow.

Man I had fun.

Jake

To tell the truth, I have no idea what kind of trout those were. I wasn't sure they were browns cuz I have caught them before and these fish did not looke the same. But then I go to the DFG website and they sa the brown is the only trout with red and black spots, which these fish had. They also had teeth on their tounges, a characteristic of cutthroat. Hi-brid? Any other ideas?

Thanks, Jake
