Any pluses/minuses? Which is better and why? Opinions, facts and stories are welcomed.

I have the Scorpion 1001. Awsome little reel but max line would be about 8lb. and 10lb. If you want a reel to handle bigger line then the Curado 200 would be the choice. The scorpion has a nice casting control feature that works really well and also casts a lot better than a regular curado. I have a Curado SF 201 that cast really well also but I use that for 10-12lb. for cranks. If you are using smaller line then I'd recommend the Scorpion, if not then go for the Curado SF instead of the 200b. Casts a lot better. Hope this helps.

The Japanese reels have no warranty here,it took about 5 months to get parts for my Metanium Mg and I had to pay. I would recommend you buy the US version and have a good warranty and parts availablity.
