Dear all Calfishermen – I know how serious and how passionate most of you on this forum are about fishing so I’m posting this message to remind you to be just as serious and passionate today, September 11th, about making sure your family, spouse, friends, and significant others know how much you care for them.
Sometimes I think it’s easy to make plans on the weekend to go fishing, run off after work to wet your line, or spend a lot of time on this forum and other fishing related Web sites. As the wife of a fisherman I urge to take the extra minute, the extra weekend, or the extra time after work to make sure your friends and family know you care about them. This is a good day to make the time to do that. Be thankful for your loved ones who are in still alive, because some don’t have the luxury of taking that for granted anymore.
From Marianne Keane, who lost her father last year on September 11th: I would give anything to go back to the morning of September 11 and tell him how much I appreciate everything he has done for me, but I think he knows that now. " source - cnn.com

Very well said Summer and you are exactly right. Thinking about 1 year ago today on my way to work this morning gave me chills and sadness in my heart. Thanks for bringing this to everyones attention and helping me to remember that fishing is not the most important thing in life. (Did I just say what I think I did)
