How many of you fish with the new Crucials? How do they compare to the likes of Kistler LTA's,Loomis Gl3/GLX, St. Croix Avid/Legend? There seem to be a lot of rods out there now in this price range-Falcon, Allstar, Quarrow, Daiwa, Fenwick, etc. Do you feel that any of them really stand out above the others? Or do they all pretty much "Taste like chicken" at this price range($120-$150)?

Almost all of my casting rods are Kistler. I only use 1 spinning rod and it's a Crucial. I use the Shimano Crucial dropshot rod 6' 8" (I think) medium action. It is waaaaaay nicer than my old Kistler dropshot special! It's not as nice as the Kistler LTA's though. It's right in between. But for the money, if the casting rods are as nice as my dropshot rod, I would have no problem only purchasing Crucial's from here on out.

I was looking at them at a local shop and there not bad they seem to be pretty stiff but I am sure they light up when you get a fish on them. You cant really compare them to a GLX at all IMO but I think there worth the money.
Hey let that Bass go I wanna catch her some day http://www.calfishing.com/gallery/v/members/tmcustoms/

The Crucials are darn good rods for the money. I have a few inclucing the swim bait H, drop shot casting 7', and a 7' MH. Not as good as my GLX's but they seem as light as the GLX. Very sensitive and good actions. I would consider buying more of them

I think they were life time warranty. I brought an old one in before they had the new model and I recieved 2 Compre rods for one. But now that they have the new ones I would assume they replace it with the new model. Call the customer service and ask for Robert, he'll help you out.
