I have to say i was really looking forward to this tourney. I have been doing quite a bit of night fishing latley . I was not on the delta and the conditions nothing like it was sunday morning. nonetheless here we go! I started out straight out across from the launch and flippin to the tullie clumps within a half hour i had my first 3+ , ate the jig on the fall. I continued around the island and went across to the docks for no bites. I worked around to the bridge and desided i would make a big row to the barrier by this time it was about 4:30 . I made it back to the point I got my first one . I took almost half an hour to get back there and the wind was becoming more sustained instead of just gusting. I figured if i rowed to the barrier i would greatly reduce the time i had to fish thouroughly . I started working the tullies and the channel side of the weed line across from the launch and working down towards the barrier. I quickly hooked up on another 3+ just killed the jig got it up to the boat and it spit the jig , flipped me off and soaked me as it left x( . Now it was just about sunrise i Started throwing the frog in some very froggy looking water for nothing. Back to the jig for my smaller fish. this one was in the weeds off the tullies. By this time I have almost had it . fighting the wind not being able to position my self the way i wanted. I decided to drift into the grass and just tangle my feet in the grass. what a freakin relief i was able to relax the whole body cramp i had developed . This was looking like perfect topwater water. I through the frog a few times for one blow up. I thought I have a very sexy trash fish Mr. Linden graciously gave me at clear lake . I strapped it to a nice belly weighted ewg. and chucked it out there through the weed line or just to the the channel side of the weed line and had the other 3+ eat the trash fish waking it just under the surface fairly slow. I had one more hit the swimbait but the hook set didn't go well. Now it about 8 and I hadn't work down to the pump on the way to the barrier i was going no further i worked the rip rap back to the launch i had one more bite that didn't get in the boat and that was time. By far the toughest conditions i have faced but the best delta bite i have expirenced so far. Congrats to Todd on B.F. and Rob for limiting . Special thanks to Scott Rouhier intoducing me to bnt and Rob , Taylor , Mitch , the steve's , middleton every tourney they had plenty of info to share and it has been very helpfull. I look forward to alot more.

Good job, Chris. It's not so easy to put a full day together with enough good fish to beat these guys. You've done something I haven't been able to do in almost 14 years. You done good!

Very well done. This is one of the toughest tournaments we have and with the conditions on Sunday made it even tougher. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! I'm stoked for you! I told you those Paradise Tackle jigs are deadly! ;-)
