The Delta region will be holding our next tournament this Sunday, 6/8/08, at Beacon Harbor on Bethel Island.

Sunrise is at 5:42 am. Per Mitch tides will be:

The weather forecast currently says a high of 89 and winds WNW at 15 mph. I plan on camping Saturday night and hope to have some company. If you plan on camping it is $25 and you should call 925-684-2174 for a reservation. See you there!

Launch is $15 per the lady I talked to. I told her we had been holding our tournaments out of there for years and that last year launch was $5. She confirmed it was $15.

If anyone has an established relationship with the owners (like Mitch or Paul) maybe they can talk to them and get it reduced.

They have to pay for that killer security!!

As I replied in emails, I do not personally know anyone there but that is what the lady I talked to said. If anyone has a direct contact I will call, ask for that person, and try to get this reduced. But the way it stands now it is $15 to launch.

I'll try and call, need to talk to KT, everything should be fine though 5 a head, the girl doesn't understand. Should let me know a week in advance next time and I would be happy to run a message to them.

If the launch fee is $15.00 per launch then it will be $30.00 for the Open. Not counting if you plan on getting in some pre-fishing which will add another $15.00 to $30.00 = $45.00 to $60.00 for launch fees.

Add camping fees of $25.00 per night = $50.00 to $75.00. depending how many nights.

Then you have entry fees.

Camping is $25/night....

I think camping was $20 in the past and $25 if you had hook-ups (electricity & water) over by the fence. Sounds like they have stepped things up a notch.

I just talked to KT and launching will be $5. I will be collecting this as part of check in; the launch fee will be required at check in to fish this tournament.

About the Open: He said that last year there was some confusion about the number of people needing campsites. Apparently the club said we would have xx number of people and he reserved that many spots then a bunch of people reserved individually (like me) resulting in double booking. He ended up turning away people because he thought he was full but he wasn't. This year he thinks it would be best if individuals simply made their own reservations.

Camping fees have gone up and the new fees appear to be firm: $25/night for tent camping and $35/night for hookups.

I tried to edit my original post but the time expired. If a moderator could update the original post to reflect the $5 launch fee and the requirement for the same I would appreciate it.
