Bro, I really want to thank you for an outstanding day! I will never forget it. Wow!

Swampy took me out in his boat on the delta today and I caught my personal best largemouth, 10.3! That FINALLY improves on my previous best, 7.3, caught at Clear Lake over ten years ago! I also got a 6.5 and two other small keepers. Swampy got some good ones too!

It was pretty cold and raining when we went out. Swampy picked up fish early and I tried a spinnerbait, crankbait, rip bait, yada, yada, yada with no hookup. Swampy had been catching some of his on a creature bait and suggested tying on a brush hog. I Texas rigged it with a red bead and was pulling it off ledges outside the weedline and just felt weight so I set the hook. I never felt the bite, just weight. So I lipped it, we weighed it, took a couple of quick pics from my cell phone (camera battery was dead), and quickly released it. What a GREAT FREAKING DAY! A personal best and over ten pounds to boot!

The 6.5 came the same way. I did not feel a bite on this one either but my line started moving so I set the hook. Swampy said we were on the backside of Coney Island.

Swampy, the pics look great! I will email the one I managed to download from my phone and the second once it comes across. I'll post both when I get them resized.

P.S. The rain stopped about half way through our day then it got even colder and windier. Burrrr!

Dude,that was a delta donkey fer sure :7 I guess we are learning a bit about that great fishery(about time :o )I can't wait to see the pics and again,congradulations on a new pb and double digit!I'm glad I was there to see ya catch it :D

Thanks guys, it was way cool. Funny thing is Swampy and I were talking earlier in the week about how we had been catching a lot of smaller fish and decided to fish deeper and change up what we were doing to get bigger fish. Sure looks like it worked!

How did the TOC go? I'll bet it was chilly!

That is awesome. The picture is great, you can tell how freaking stoked you are in that shot. As lake rubbed it in, I'm still waiting for my first over 10 out of the Delta and I know I'll be as excited as you are in that shot. Way to go man, thats too freaking cool!!! :+
