Any of you familiar with the Mokelumne River up river from Lodi Lake. I went out to Guard Rd. Sunday Evening to fish White slough and it just did not feel safe, because of the squatter who has moved in there with a Motor Home and Several Vehicles. It was to late to head to any other spots I know on the Delta so I decided to leave head toward home and stop by Lodi Lake and the Mokelumne River. It sure looks like it ought to be an excellent place for both Smallmouth and Largemouth. Lots of lay downs and other structure and cover, plus rip rap for the smallies and the water is clear and the current is relatively mild so not to much for the kickboat. Since it's about the same distance to there as it is to Folsom it is as good as it looks I think I'll make it my new spot when I don't want to go very far.

You could always launch at Correia rd. on Whites slough.

Something needs to be done though with those squatters

"Something needs to be done though with those squatters"

You are right there does need to be something done. I just called the San Joaquin County Sheriff's and reported it. They said they will go out there and make them leave if they are truly squatting. If anyone else wants to be able contact the Sheriff in the future the number is (209) 468-4400

I fished the Mok with LzyFish AKA FishBills and did not catch a thing. I think we were further up river than what you are talking about but where we were the water was very cold. There were trout fisherman catching small rainbows. I am not too fimiliar with the area you are speaking of but all I can say is give it a try and post a report.
