28727, Drove by it again, and wondered... (Bean Hollow)

Yup, drove down Sunday from Half Moon Bay, where we were RV'ing, and came home via Hwy 1 thru Santa Cruz. Now, I know the subject has come up before (a LONG time ago!), but I had to wonder as I passed through *Bean Hollow*: does anybody know anything about the private bass lake there, where the guy used to charge an arm & a leg to fish there (like, $60/day)? I think the guy had the place stocked w/Florida-strains, which oughtta be gettin' pretty SIZABLE by now! :9

It seems to me Mr. Lake had talked to the guy about possibly doing a tourney there, and he appeared open to the concept, but the idea seems to have just faded away.

Does anyone know if the same guy still operates the place? I seem to recall they only allowed barbless hooks, but they'd perhaps make an exception for a tube tourney there.

Can someone follow up on this, or provide any more info, if you have any? I think it'd be worth pursuing! If I look, I can probably dig up a phone number & address/contact person (if it's still the same).

Anybody have an update on this place, or have you ever fished it? Let's check it out!

Jeff,I think the guy lost his lease and is no longer in charge of the lake.I'm not sure who the property owner is,but it might be worthwhile to find out.:)
