I would have to say nov.is my favorite,the fish or gorging themselves up for the winter.They seem to be aggresive and fat,great time of the year to have big weights at tourneys,cant wait.

I guess if I had a choice it'd be June/July in the Delta but since I have trouble getting out enough I'd be happy to fish just about anytime.

I'm going to have to agree with you Mr. Bill on this one also as the late fall can be just outstanding! Besides, over the past few recent years I've found I've been catching more 5+ during this time also.

Another thing, the rip bite is unreal normally along with the burning of rattle traps and speed traps! Talk about arm wrenchers! :9

Spring lake update:I had a pretty good morning there last saturday,had a limit by 11:00.Biggest was 4.4,they seemed to be hitting on underwater baits in the depth range of about 1\2 a foot to 22ft.Just remember to have a panther martin tied on for the afternoon bite,hope this helps.

Be thankful where you are all at, I took it for granted. Any time of year is good to fish. Houston leaves something to be desired for bass fishing...

My favorite month to fish is February. No one around, and big fat pre-spawn fishing.

Dude, you had to bust out with the hard question. Well, for weight I would say February thru March definitely. Fun? You didn't ask that. Summer is great catchin' lots of dinks. I would say the Summer months because I love catchin' lots of fish. I am not so hung up on big fish. Don't get me wrong, I fish the Winter months very seriously because of the BIGFISH factor. All of my biggest fish 10 pounds and up (10.1) yeah,yeah,yeah, I know thats small to many folks, were caught during the Winter months. I am still working on da next world record. Earlier this year in April, I got 2 fish for 6lbs 14oz. @ Loma tourney, and and My first limit EVER in a tourney in May on the delta. I'm a bit partial to these months now. Took 3rd in a tourney in April of 03' @ whites too ! :+ Also got 14th in April C.L open.

When did I get that 31+#s for 4 fish in under 45 minutes? That would have to be my favorite time. Either that or October pre-frontal like when I stuck my 11.9# PB.

I'd say whenever they're biting is my favorite. But in this part of the country, Feb/March is the time I catch the better quality consistently.

I have to say Jan through March mainly for this reason. Every bite you get could be a monster.

It depends on how quickly things warm up but I like from about mid-February to mid April. My second favorite is November.
