The best thing to do is fish a specific area for the day, so you can see what the tide does throughout the day rather than running around. In the most general of terms on a higher tide you want to be fishing tighter to the bank/tules/in the brush etc. and in the trough the weedless section between the bank and the weedbeds. As the tide falls the fish and all the baitfish and crawdads whatever else down there has to move or they will be on dry land. The fish will position themselves in the weeds and outside weededge in order to ambush their prey.
A senko will catch fish cast it to the trough,a laydown, pockets in the weeds anywhere that looks like an ambush spot let it settle on the bottom give a few seconds sometimes more if your willing to wait, pop the bait once, let it settle then pull out and do again over and over again oh how fun a senko can be. weightless or texas rigs 3/16oz-1oz depending on the situation is what i use. A lot of guys also really like to throw blades through the trough, and its generally much better to work your bait with the current than against it and that goes for anything.

And topwater, I don't think the Delta bass eat topwater :7
