Amazing thing about the internet is that it gives you perspective of what the bite is like all over the state. The past three days have seen some incredible fishing!

Today - 2/18/02

Nicolo Raffo - 11.0 and 8.2 at San Pablo
Erik - 17.3 from San Pablo
Steve Mras - 13.6 from Perris
Dave Clay - 12.1 from Perris

Sunday - 2/17/02

Jeff Andress - 9.0 and 5.5 from Spring Lake
Mike Minkiewicz - 6.3 from Coyote

Saturday - 2/16/02

Me - 13-2 and 12-7 from San Pablo

I'm sure there were more that didn't get reported. Amazing. Now we can all go beat the waters for another couple weeks before they bite again :-)

Hey now, you're just puttin in your time :-) I'm sure you'll get on them soon. Don't let this guy fool you folks, he's caught a few over 10 in the past :-) Maybe those Issy fish are just waiting another month to turn on.

Hey Rob, don't forget about my 10.9 Oh wait, that was for 9 fish, nevermind. You know what really sucks? Years ago all the big bass craze was in the southern end of the state ie; Casitas, Castaic etc... Now I hear of all these huge bass being caught up north. What's up with that? I'm like hey you skipped a region. How about giving some love to the Central Coast. Oh well, i've done enough complaining, if you'll exuse me i'm going to go cry myself to sleep. LOL. Congrats on the trophies. Keep up the good work, I love hearing these big fish stories. Maybe someday I could come up there and give it a shot.-Phil

742, Most likely this is due to the low pressure system

Looking back at Swimbait's article on weather, carefully watching weather.com and a nice live weather station on San Jose you'd see that the weather conditions for this past weekend were ideal for all types of fishing.

Here's the link for the weather station in San Jose:

Notice the last couple of days that the barometer has been way down compared the the high pressure system we had the last couple of weeks. Either way, feel free to draw your own conclusions from the data.

Brian,

That looks more like my EKG after I catch a toad. Good use of science and Technology. wes
