The Stocker Trout guys (Rod and Todd) very graciously sent over some pics of the original wood stocker trouts and said it was ok to show them on the site for all you fellow lure ho's. The lure on the bottom is the first Stocker Trout. It was made in Feb. 1993. The lure on the top was made a couple of months later. Both baits are 9" long. They were never intended to be sold, but the word got out and that is how it all got started with Stocker Trout. They have not been made since 1994. They have been retired, and NO you should not call Rod and Todd and try to get one because there are none for sale nor will there be. When they were available, The top one went for $65.00 and the other one was $30.00.

I think back to '94 when I was 16 years old and 60 bucks was a fortune to spend on a lure, but if I could turn back time and raise a little dough, I probably would have bought one :) Oh well, I'm stoked just to see the pics.
