3641, Lb class halibut records

Does any one know the line class records for halibut wiht 2-4 and 6lb test? I looked on the IGFA website but I could only find the all tackle record. Does any one have any tips to help me get a lb class record? Just incase you are wondering I am going after these fish from shore so I won't have a boat to help me follow the fish ;-)
Thanks
Batman

2lb - 19lb 7oz
4lb - 34lb 12oz
6lb - 28lb 8oz

Hope that helps and good luck. If you fight them in slow, they sometimes don't even know they are hooked :)

Awww x( :-( I didn't know they were going to be that high. Well it looks like I will need to spend more time in Goleta and some luck to get a record. Are there any 1lb records? Where did you get those?
Thanks,
Batman

I just got an IGFA membership, and they send you a mag with all the records. You can't see them online if you aren't a member. That's how they get you to sign up. Yeah those records are really high. There are huge fish inshore around Dana, LB and SD. You could always go out to Santa Rosa or Miguel and drop a live squid on 6lb and pray, but that's a long shot :D
