New to the Vegas area and going to give the stripers at Willow Beach a try. I know the biggest season for the brutes is over but ill spend the summer fishing and boarding the river and picking up any clues about the fishery as i can. I am from so cal and fished sw mainly.

If anyone has ideas of the area or fish it ofetn and need a tag along or a boat let me know. my schedule is flexable and love to fish.

anyway any rigging suggestions. thinking of starting with a couple of swim baits, and a m.s slammer 9". i have two castaic plugs, one that is the wood body (that sits and will never be used) the other is the wood head and plastic body. think ill throw them with a calico stick that i have 8' and 9' with a 220 newell on it.

I guess my biggest problem is i am not too sure how to fish these baits. the casting technique.. as slow as you can retrieve with good movement i understand. but can and do you troll them or is most of the fishing done from the shore? if from a boat the current is usually strong and not too sure how that works......

well anyway take it easy
