1921, wupped again at San V
Posted by Matt Peters, Mon Dec-09-02 09:36 PM
Boy,

I was waiting so patiently for San V to open from the summer hours, back to weekend fishing.

Now that it's open, I'm thinking of taking up golf!

Geezo, talk about a tough bite!

I keep missing the "good" swimbait weather because of various dynamics....but still, I'm having one hell of a hard time getting even some good hot followers on my baits this year!

Just need to vent on the forum here. I know we all go thru the doldrums!!!!

Man oh man, I need a 30lb day to snap out of it. I haven't caught a bass there my last 3 trips.

Keep trying dude. Atleast you're trying out there. Have you tried throwing a Parmu out there? I've heard some goos reports lately about this bait out there.

The Parmu!

I bought one, made a few casts with it, and wasn't overly impressed.

It swims pretty good at a slow constant retrieve. The placement of the line tie makes it tough to rip that bait around without having it turn sideways or spin.

It reminds me of a rattle trap...

I'll pick it up again....

As bad as I've been struggling, I needed to stick to the old stand bys!

You're right about the ripping part Matt. If you are into ripping your swimbait to the surface, the Parmu is not the best choice. Good luck!

Brian, do you not watch the Discovery channel? I think a Parmu is a small 3 legged mountain goat that lives high up in the Andes, very rare but if you know the right people you can get your hands on just about anything.

A Parmu is a new Japanese swimbait made by Kanji International.
