OK, go ahead and laugh. Still laughing? OK. It is a funny looking lure. I let these sit on my bench for months before taking them out to give them a whirl. You know what? These funky monkeys surprised the heck out of me.

The thin tail section stretches out on the retrieve and gets more in line with the body. The smoke silver color featured below looks completely money in the water and reminds me of an old favorite color that Wham Fisheez used to come in (Someone here is going to remember the Wham Fisheez :) )

You can do various things with this bait like put it on a jighead, stick it on a chatterbait, a fishead spin, a fishtrix style head or just about any place you might put a small swimbait. Did I mention they swim perfectly straight and cost about 4 bucks for a 7 pack? Cheap, reliable, looks good, I'm in to it.

I will admit that I laughed when I saw these available on TackleWarehouse a while back. However, after you showing me its action in the water this past Sunday, I might have to order some in white for Stripers. :-)

Looks like it may be cool on a chatterbait

It's an ugly weird shaped lure, but I'm telling you... it looks fishy in the water. I'll do this one on the next round of videos so you guys can check it out. I just ordered the larger size from TW as well to see what's the deal with that abomination :)

I am becoming a fan of Gambler all over again. Here's the deal with Gambler. They are based in South Florida, and they fish Okeechobee a lot. They have gotten their baits really good at filling little niches. Case in point, the flappin shad. If there is a "horny toad" bite going, try the flappin shad. Or if the fish are eating baitfish in some super heavy thick stuff its a really good baitfish imitation (put a slit in the tail, to give it more a buzz on the surface).

Anyway, I don't laugh at Gambler at all. They have too much experience fishing heavy vegetation bass and things far removed from what you might see out West.

I haven't fished the Brutus, but I'm learning really quickly, around heavy grass and vegetation, the baits that work don't look great at face value. Kinda like showing a backwards rigged Ika to someone in the South....
