Surffished for a few hours this morning using sandcrabs for bait. Smallish surf, minimal wind, but heavy kelp (although still somewhat fishable). Caught/released 7 Barred Perch (2 nice ones, rest hand sized), 3 Leopard Sharks (2 small, 1 medium), and 1 Shovelnose Guitarfish (very small). Saw no corbina at all in the skinny water. Talked to a few asians down the beach with very long fishing rods. They had some nice yellowfin croaker, and 3 corbina for the two of them. One was very nice...estimated at 23 plus inches. Maybe I'll have to get one of those long rods!? Nice day on the water.
