Hi all, went to laguna with my buddy Jeff and we caught and released 23 or so BSPs from 4 to 12 inches. The 12 incher was by Jeff and it was about half empty of fry when he caught it. It even popped out 2 onto the damp sand so we scooped them up and tossed them back in the wash. As they swam off, I said to Jeff, "congrats, you're a dad!" We used big hammer grubs in moto/red and moto/gold with pro-cure's sand shrimp bait sauce. Water was very clean considering the rains had just ended. The new nose-hooking method worked well for me--even hooked a few of those 4-inchers with it.
