well, the fishing wasn't too good. i think the water was still a little cold for this time of year but there were reports of guys getting skunked in 70 water so i don't know what's going on. there was a lot of bait in the water and a school of bonita did move through very quickly. i didn't get a chance to take out the float tube, because i was shore bound with my friend nick. i definitely neede more time than like 4 days to really fish catalina. there was a lot of short calico in the area, hopefully they'll last for a couple years and we'll get something going. the one day we really fished for real like 6 hours, or so, we ended up with a couple whitefish and a legal calico and a lot of shorts. one thing i want to say- GARIBALDI ARE NOT GOLDFISH those of you who've fished catalina from the mole know what i'm talking about. like every single person who looked in the water said- oh look at the goldfish... it the california state fish for god's sake. people don't get condors and sea gulls mixed up, and garibaldi aren't koi or carp either for those of you who shared their knowledge with me in catalina. ok, that's it.
