Thinking about going to Silverwood on Friday. Never been before. Can I tube, where at, is it recommended? Where is a good place to hit the shore if I can't tube? Specifically targeting bass. Any help, even if you don't recommend it right now, would be great! It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive (like everything else for me, if not longer) so I would hate to waste my time. I don't mind fishing and not catching, just hate to waste my time where there are no bass ;) Thanks!!

Hey Jake,
I'm still trying to figure out a pattern here too, but I'll let you in on what I know. You can launch a tube from the hand-launch in Cleghorn. Just make a left on the first street past the main entrance and it will take you there.
As far as I know many bass are still in prespawn and a lot of people are scoring on small bass in large numbers. Either a texas rig or drop shotting a worm should do the trick. I fished here from shore on Sunday and I only got one dropshotting but with a tube you can access deeper water. A friend told me he was catching his fish in 8-12 ft. Try the cliffs to the right of the ramp or the cove accross from Cleghorn. That's all I know :)

Tom, just wanted to say thanks for the info! Looks like it's supposed to be pretty windy Friday ;( Not sure if I'll make it there or not, if so I'll let you know how I did.
